Head Start Preschool
Head Start is a federally funded program that provides free-of-cost, full-day, developmentally appropriate preschool instruction for eligible children from 2 to 4 years of age.

Program hours are from 8:00 AM - 2:45 PM
- Eligibility is based on Federal Income Guidelines. To be eligible for services, household annual income must not exceed the stated guidelines. Please review the income guidelines listed below to determine if your family will qualify for services.
- Children are enrolled into Head Start based on priority using Head Start Eligibility Criteria.
- Families may begin the application process once their child reaches 1 year, 9 months - but children must reach 2 years of age prior to their first day of school.
- Head Start continues enrollment throughout the school year and enrolls qualified children as space becomes available.
- San Jacinto Head Start is committed to providing an inclusive environment for all children, including those with disabilities.
Head Start Income Guidelines
To qualify for services, families must not exceed the income listed below

If your family exceeds the maximum allowable income, you may still be eligible for services if:
- Your family currently receives CalWORKs and/or CalFRESH
- The applicant child is currently in foster care
- The applicant child has an active Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or Individualized Family Services Plan (IFSP)
- Your family is currently experiencing homelessness
PLEASE NOTE:
Submission of an application does not imply a child is enrolled in the program. All submitted applications are processed for eligibility. Once processed, our Enrollment Technician will contact you and provide you with additional information.
HOW TO APPLY:
- Click on the "Apply Now" button below
- Create a user ID and password for the Hubbe application system
- Follow the steps to verify your account and email
- Complete each section of the application. Be sure to include the following:
- All parents in the home need to be included in the parent profile
- The applicant child should be entered in the student profile
- All remaining children that are in the home should be included in the other children section
- Be sure to provide accurate information in all sections of your application. Inaccurate information can delay the processing of your application.
- Once your application has been signed and submitted, an Enrollment Technician will contact you when your application is next in the processing queue.
