hello families today I will be helping you and your child explore for this activity the materials you will need are your phone shapes popsicle sticks a glue stick and possibly markers or colored pencils if you need to write so the fur I think I'm going to do is grab a shape and identify that shape so this is a triangle and we're going to count how many sides it has 123 plus triangle has three sides I'm going to add popsicle sticks to outline my shape so because the triangle has three sides I'm going to need three popsicle sticks 123 I'm going to outline my shape with my popsicle sticks 1 2 in three so we need three popsicle sticks for the three sides of the triangle you can glue those popsicle sticks down with your child and then if you would like to to recognize the number that goes with how many sides of triangle has you and your child can write the number of sides inside your shape so this is a triangle that has three sides so I'm going to write the number 3 that is what your shape should look like so with your child you are recognized shapes counting and recognizing numbers I also have a hexagon a hexagon has one two three 4565 so you would need six popsicle sticks so let's count 1 2 3 4 5 6657 sickle six and the same thing we do with the triangle we're going to do with our hexagon we're going to outline our shape the popsicle sticks are a little bit longer then the sides of your shape but that's okay they can just overlap I'm going to override the popsicle sticks on my shape for 5 1 2 3 4 sorry I missed count 5 + there is your pentagon and if you would like to write the number of sides for your hexagon info after shape you can do that as well so it's 6 inside your shape Maker Mike the number the game we're recognizing shapes we're counting and recognizing numbers hope you enjoy this activity hi families it's winter time and it's getting really chilly some of us might be drinking hot Coco at home so this is not active you to create your own hot cocoa mug for this activity the materials we use our our phone hot cocoa cup some cotton balls to represent are marshmallows some foam letters and some little decorative stones to decorate our cup so with your child you can identify the letters that you have with your materials you can talk about the letter and the sound that it makes and maybe some words for items that start with that letter you can count your Cotton Bowl or marshmallows as you glue them onto your hot cocoa mug let's see how many cotton balls I'm going to put on my hot cocoa mug 1 2 3 4 I'm just going to put marshmallows on my hot cocoa company in the letters that I have are hey says my name is Anita my name starts with this letter so I can glue it on my hot cocoa mug I also have the letter u u says like some umbrella can put that on my mug and I also have the letter d d says like or maybe Duck on the glue that on my hot cocoa mug and then I can take my Stones my gym and I can put them on my car to decorate if you have other materials at home that you would like to use such as stickers or any shapes or anything you can also use that to decorate your cup maybe if you have enough letters to make a sight word you can do that as well I hope you and your family enjoy making this fun hot cocoa mug at home recognizing Your Love and counting your marshmallows enjoy your activity friends thank you for this activity we are going to be making a paper plate number pizza and for this activity you'll be needing the paper plate with the numbers the paper plate with the lines stickers and stamps which is what you're going to have your child do first is it going to have them cut out this paper plate first you're going to have them cut along the line once they are all done cutting this out will have people be our pizza slices we have our pieces places so what we are going to be doing is matching how many stickers we put on here to the number for instance our first number will be what you'll have your child so what are going to have your child put one sticker on the slice of pizza what way am I supposed to the number one my next number you can ask your child what number is my next time I'm going to go ahead and put for sticking on here to resemble for pepperoni pieces 1/2 3 + 4 and I'm going to pay the number for you'll be doing this all the way when through 8 and should looks like this all the way through no 138 I went ahead and did all of mine and this is an activity that you can do with your child and then have them set out all of the pepperoni slices and have them match the number to however many dots so if you're going to have your child count how many how many pepperonis are on over this one there's one two three four they're going to match the number of pepperonis there is two the number that they find on my pizza someone pretty here and you can do this activity with them today and can be something fun that they can do and remember to help them recognize the numbers and counting I hope you enjoy this activity Hello friends my name is Miss Jamaica I'm here to show you how to make an igloo which is just in time for winter because as you know it was very cold so we're going to make a igloo okay so we sent home a bag with packing peanuts the plate and you might already have a stick of glue at home this would be perfect okay and you're packing peanuts cool cool cool cool alright it's very easy to do I'm going to show you okay so what you going to do is take the cap off your glue and you can start stacking your packing peanuts now parents this is a start bass packing peanuts so if you have little ones at home you don't have to worry about them getting lost in their throat because they dissolve when there be no contact with water or something like that from their pretty safe so what we going to do is going to start stacking them for me I start stacking them like stuff like this okay that's how I know you can do it a different way if you wants you back for that way it makes it works easier for me but I count to five or you can come backwards from 5 to 3 4 or 5 like that okay Ru can countdown for 5 5 4 3 2 1 okay and you can just press a key the packing peanuts 1 2 3 4 5 just like that 5 4 3 2 1 ye are you conceited making an igloo yeah all right very fun and you can just keep stacking them and stacking you can make your igloo very big are you could make your igloo very small it is totally up to you I'm looking forward to seeing the igloo when you join us doing your grab-and-go day on January 29th so I made another one seat is starting to take shape well well well well well I'm ain't one to see what my other one looks like this my Igloo for the eskimos to sleep in you can make your different this is how I made yours case all right
